One of my male friends has claimed that in his small town, all of the employers force their male employees to get annual colon cancer screenings. When I expressed disbelief, he assured me this is common in economies that rely on manual labor. I have never heard of this, nor has my relative in HR, nor could I find info online. I'm presuming that there's some sort of miscommunication here -- perhaps the main employers' health insurance requires annual screenings for some sort of discount on the plan, like how my previous employer "forced" me to fill out a survey about my eating, drinking, and smoking habits -- but I'm willing to concede that I'm just ignorant if I can find some evidence. I figure that if anyone would know, this subreddit would.
