I've never once seen someone here suggest that pressured sex is not a bad thing.

It's the fact that extremely complicated interpersonal situations in which one party may have miscommunicated, or was unaware of any reluctance, many advocates are quick to suggest "Just to be safe, lets call that rape too".

The problem is with the DOE/DOJ coming down with Title IX, basically stripping all students of due process the moment of accusation is so inherently wrong because it fails to apply the standard of "innocent until proven guilty".

No one in their right mind would suggest pressuring someone into sex is anything but morally questionable at the very least.

That's an interesting blanket statement for someone to make when they've only even made three posts on the subreddit in question.

Especially to accuse the group at large of blind hatred, while yourself ranting about how the group at large is single-minded and doing nothing but bitching about crazy women. It would help immensely if you had actually provided any evidence or actual support for your condemnations instead of just ranting.

As it stands it seems to me that the problem is entirely you, not them.

Is not equality of treatment under the law a subsection of equality for the average person? I can authoritatively say that some here have been falsely accused of the crimes we decry. Are those voices "blind and hateful" because they have a vested interest?

I doubt many (if any) here will say "pressuring women into having sex is teh bestest evar!" You're making it sound like we're cheering on date rape... but consider, if a woman is feeling "pressured" but gives no indications of that pressure until after the fact, should that be viewed as an entirely male problem yielding 100% male culpability?

These questions are complex and nuanced, and often men end up getting the shitty end of a legal stick after apparently doing everything right. When that happens, are we not justified in our complaints? Equality, to me, means not immediately assuming the worst intentions of one group over another based on feels. Yes, that also means not assuming that women are waiting to prey on unsuspecting men to spring some sort of "rape trap" on them... but I rarely see that sort of thing here anyways, and it's often called out as being over-the-top.

Ultimately, there's a number of people who are here because of maltreatment by a society who really doesn't give much of a fuck about how men fare. There's going to be some bitterness. You can either accept that and help to resolve the problems which lead to the bitterness, or you can sit on the sidelines and criticize. Only one of those choices has a chance of leading to positive results.
