Whenever I go into a bank I feel sorry for the workers. Such a boring job. Totally could have been me too since I majored in accounting.

being a loan officer would probably beat being a 'teller' - anyone that routinely deals with credit checks can get a lot more financial detail about you than the teller. All the teller can see is your transactions with that specific bank. (which is a lot but doesn't usually include investment accounts unless they are with the same bank and that's normally where the real money is).

Bank tellers have a 98.3% chance of being entirely eliminated by AI systems within the next 8 years according to http://www.oxfordmartin.ox.ac.uk/downloads/academic/The_Future_of_Employment.pdf

it might be a way for her to check on you; but clearly it's not a good career option :))

that might be the case at many banks but there are still loan officers at the community bank i use and at the credit union my parents use and they do the loan approvals in house.

understood, and they probably see you more often than the loan officers would. but in terms of access to your financial data the loan officers could get a lot more info.

I would say it would more online banking than even ai. Unless that's considered ai. I'm guessing once the older generation slowly goes they will faze them out.
