I can understand why a woman wouldn't want to give her number/whatsapp before actually meeting someone. That being said, the biggest key I've learned in this sub is when a girl likes you she makes it easy. Which unless I read it wrong she is literally suggesting a day.

If I was you, I would drop the whatsapp thing (not worth your time to worry about mentality), go out on the date, focus on having fun and enjoying YOUR time, and depending how it goes you send her your number. If she likes you, I'm sure she's going to message
