Tinder is just not worth it.

You need to be top 2% to be on Tinder. Otherwise it's a waste of time.

I looked at my girls's Tinder a few times... always an enlightening experience...

This plate is 8, she re-enabled her Bumble in front of me. After 10 minutes, she had 20 matches. After 1 hour, she had over 100. It was mind boggling, by the time we parted every person she swiped she matched. Literally an endless supply.

We started messaging some of them for fun. We'd write short responses, don't write back, and just take the piss, and they all just kept coming back and thirsting for more.... many of them using exactly the canned lines you see recommended in these threads.... Heck I'm not her and even I felt a huge sense of abundance!

Most of it the matches were cringe crap, but quite a few were what I'd call good profiles. The thing is, with literally hundreds of matches, she has her pick, and within them even 5% means tens of really top tier men.

And this was in a tiny city... I can't begin to imagine what it's like in a huge city

Definitely an enlightening experience, turned me off Tinder all together. My time and energy are better spent elsewhere.

EDIT: from her perspective, I asked her why she doesn't use it more... and she said something that stuck with me. "It's like finding a needle in a haystack". She has to invest a lot of time to weed out the cringe material, and a lot of time to make sure that the "good" ones she matches are not catfishes, misrepresentations or plain awkward...

She'd rather meet people through friends/get approached. Finding a lay on Tinder/Bumble is desperate from her perspective and therefore the ones who do it tend to be low quality women...

and they still get top tier men, which is it's just not worth it. It's essentially rigged.

The goal of tinder is to get her off the app, not setting up a date or getting to know her. Until you’ve done that you’re just another match and can easily be forgotten. Once you get her number you are more “real” and your chances of getting her on a date increase tenfold.

Look at her profile and bio try to create something witty and slightly flirtatious. This for the age group 18-22. Older than that idk how their mentality works.

read profile and mess around with her. i will either sarcastically answer a question they have on it. (guess what ethnicity im am).

or make a sly remark about something there or a pic.

if you have nothing to work with, make something fun or crazy up. shock value does play a role moreso if youre attractive, and guess what? they already matched with you, they are alrrady attracted somewhat . if they dont reply fuck em.

" so we are naming our kid lebron? okay? cool" was my opener when i first started.

" its a shame, you probably cant handle dick" is one that worked multiple times on different apps that kills me lol.

I don't use Tinder, but from a theoretical perspective the process of selection is based almost entirely off looks, with a girl having thousands of men to flick through and choose from. That being the case, if a girl matches with you, the contents of your conversation should matter very little. So, for an opener, "Hi" should suffice. Again, disclaimer, that's a very high level theory and I don't really "do" text / messaging game, so I could be talking shit.
