The key here is to not prioritize making a circle. If you do, you’re just gonna end up being seen as “that guy” who invites himself into everything and people will resent you.

Instead, do things you find interesting and that you’re passionate about, then you’ll make REAL friends organically. Does it take longer than inserting yourself forcefully into random groups hoping you score? Yes, but it ensures you make a REAL genuine social circle with real bro’s.

Example. I got into skydiving. I made a nice little social circle at the drop zone with the fellow “new jumpers”.

So you could join a gym, make gym bro’s. Hell, even join a book club or a board game club and make friends there. Find a poker club and play poker with the boys in the city. The options are endless.

A long time since I read it, the 'Mystery Method' deals with this. iirc, the technique is called 'sarging'. Go out and about and talk to everyone for a minute or two. Rinse and repeat.

I knew a guy 30 years ago who was a natural at that. A 5 minute walk to the shops could take him almost an hour. There weren't many people in the neighbourhood that he wasn't on first name terms with.
