It might be good for you to find some space within the house that is just for you - a retreat, as it were. Have you got space for that?

When I was a stay at home wife/mom, I would get cabin fever. Everyday started to feel like Groundhog Day.

Women have like 30,000 words they need to say in a day. Men have like 5,000. I would be alone with the baby, and when my husband would come home for lunch, I would just ramble on and on (unattractive). Poor guy.

I started volunteering with a non-profit on base for a few hours a week. It was scary to get out of my comfort zone at first, especially since the non-profit worked with Marines and sailors in uniform.

I found that a few hours out of the house made all the difference. I got to get a lot of those words out of my system. My husband had some quiet time to himself. He loved it. I got a reputation of being the squared away spouse, and his CO respected us for it.

I wish I could be more helpful. It's not a one-size-fits-all solution, but it did give me more breathing room in my life.

Quit letting it drive you crazy; you have the ability to control your emotions, right? Control that feeling. It's the same thing as getting annoyed at anything else; you have a choice to be annoyed, or you could choose to not be annoyed.

You could also spend a few hours a week volunteering at a local museum, get a part-time job at a flower shop, cuddling babies at a hospital, working at a community garden, etc. There are a ton of volunteer gigs that are pretty low stress and will get you out of the house if you are going stir-crazy.

The main reason that you are annoyed by him is that you are no longer attracted to him.
