Normally, I'd just treat her like some nerd and just use her to build status or accrue attention from other girls. She's actually really easy to use in this way and so far has been rather helpful with this. The catch with this girl, however, is that she's an absolute genuine ten. Don't misunderstand, I'm not saying that out of some infatuation with her or anything. I've been there and done that and learned some hard lessons. However, I took some advice from some of the OGs a year or two ago and physically wrote down my idea of a perfect girl, along with things that I like about women or traits that I'd prefer they have and things that I wouldn't enjoy about a girl or things that would automatically make her a next. Somehow, I feel like Grant Morrison. I almost don't trust this situation and feel like I'm going insane sometimes because she completely fits the bill.
Anyway, I plan on getting another job (preferably just not working anymore for certain reasons I won't go in to) within the coming months and I'm sort of thinking of working some magic. The only complication is that she has a boyfriend. Again, I'd normally just nope right out, but this girl just will not leave me alone no matter how I treat her. I could avoid her for weeks and she'd still tell me goodbye every time she leaves or try to ask me for help with something we both know she can do without any. This is complicated just a little further because another coworker has recently asked me if I knew that she had a boyfriend and then prodded further, asking if we ever talk outside of work. Apparently, a customer was rude with her the other day and this same guy suggested I beat him up for "being rude to my girlfriend". We both know I'm not her boyfriend.
So, essentially, I figured I'd give it a brief shot before I put in my two weeks or anything, just to fish for potentials. The way I see it, I can just put my two weeks in shortly after to avoid any unwanted bullshit or drama it might cause.
Basically, the plan is to just ask her if she thinks we're just friends. Naturally, if she agrees that she thinks so, I'll just relay that I'm chalk full of friends and not really looking for more. I'd then simply ask if she thinks that if her boyfriend saw the way that we typically interact when he's not around, that if he'd agree that we're just friends or if he's get jealous. After all, when asked why she didn't try to get her boyfriend hired there (he was looking for work at the time) not too long ago, she mentioned that she wasn't thrilled about the idea since "he tends to get jealous". I think I'd just finish with something like, "I think you need to decide what you really want." and just exit and not bring it up ever again. I have reason to believe she'd insist we're just friends because that's how young girls tend to approach these situations, even if it's not usually the case.
Don't pull punches, fellas. Thanks for any input.
