I don't even remember the last time any "friend" asked me how I am.

It's been months since anyone needed something from me (money or help with something)... so it's been months since I talked to someone other than my family or co-workers at work. And BTW I always help if I can.

The moment I stopped initiating conversations (when I noticed they never did), I am approached only when I'm needed.

No one really cares about you.

Everyone wants something.

Most, if not all, men and married/cuffed women only reach out if they want something.

Single women only reach out if they want a relationship.

Sometimes though, you can be lucky and have parents who care unconditionally, but they won't live forever.

Most people suck. But some don't. I have very few friends, that I can count with one hand. But I know I can rely on them. It's difficult to create such friendships because people get married and become slaves. So they don't have time to build strong friendship because to create them it's required to spend time together. Generally the wife won't let the husband go out with friends much because she will always need something and don't like that her husband spend much time with other men because "they can give her husband bad advice or the husband can see what he is missing spending all his time with her wife and getting nothing in return".

So it's a difficult situation for us men. We need friendships, but most men become slaves and just work full time and in their free time they work for the wives. Without spending time together, friendships are not created. So it's a difficult situation and the reason most people maintain the same friendships they had when they were teenages.

Even the best friend you will ever have will, if nothing else, have a demand on your time. You have to decide who is worth the investment.
