Just a guess, but possibly self loathing? Initially you put the object of your affections on a pedestal as something pure and out of reach, but once you reach them and you realise that A) they're just human, after all and B) not only are they just human, but they defiled themselves by accepting you

Only you could truly know why you act this way. Dig deep and be honest with yourself. If you can't do that on your own, consider therapy; there's no shame in it, although ultimately you're still responsible for your own growth.

How about this idea: You fall madly in love with the girl, valuing her so much, that you make a lot of concessions of what you want, you sacrifice the things and style that you want, for what she wants (or at least, what you think she wants), then this reaches a point where you realize that you're disappointed with what you've sacrificed, and all the love you've given her without her returning it in a way you truly like, so you get mad at the whole situation.
