Hey everyone. Just left my job in a major us city to take a bit of a break in my hometown while I figure out my next move. I’ve now lived in the lively downtown area and suburbs of two major east coast us cities now and I absolutely hated both. I’m considering making a move to a smaller town or small city instead, but am apprehensive of the lack of opportunity that comes with it.

My passion is the outdoors. If I don’t have easy access my quality of life plummets. I’ve found this to be the case in a lot of east coast cities. Otherwise, I like to play with guns (also a problem on the east coast and in cities), workout, and volunteer in my community. I’m social but not into bars and clubs all that much. I don’t party a whole lot but I make it a point to do a night out to the bars or clubs here and there just for the social aspect. Not really into ONS either just a weird preference. I prefer to spin plates and the occasional LTR.

How much does city size matter for a RP lifestyle? Is a small town doable or a death sentence? What is the cut off? I’ve lived in a town of about 200K and a town of about 50K. Both had downsides but the town of 200K was way better. Interested to hear your thoughts.
