So I am in a situation to where I do not want to risk throwing away a nice corporate career that pays quite well and also gives me an opportunity to build a good financial future for myself. The work hours are not investment banking-like meaning it is a typical 40 to 50 hour workweek but at the same time, it isn't exactly a fun industry where you meet hot girls and cool friends, it is a nerdy job in a field I have a lot of love for but on paper not the kind of job that is cool.

For the longest time, I have been wanting to be a part of nightlife but it has been hell. I have had a tough time making friends that just want to go out, have a lot of drinks and party; even had this issue in college. I keep making friends with "clean" people that are religious goody two shoes or the type who are into this healthy organic living stuff.

What I have wanted to do for quite some time is be a bartender but I also cannot throw away a job that pays almost six figures as well as years of my career away for that.

So here is the future lifestyle I am envisioning.

I work my 9 to 5 on weekdays but then in my offtime, I bartend at a place that always has great parties going on, attracts hot girls and a cool fun crowd.

I genuinely want to work at such a place and I find that just going there alone or even with friends is not the same, I rather work there and be forced to be in that situation for money.

Now I am not looking for anyone to play parent and say "oh no bros bars are evil, satan lives in the nightclub man! Just work on your hippy career and read plato on a Saturday night", I am looking for some advice on how unrealistic or realistic my goal is.
