I’m a 22 year old w/ no college degree and am currently working as a waiter. I’ve been lurking on TRP for about 2 months and am interested in self improvement, especially my SMV. I know that living with parents is a big no no but it is comfortable for the time being while I save money. But to be honest, I’ve been working on improving myself for the last couple of years but things always go downhill. I’m not saying that my environment is the cause of it but I feel like it is a part of it. And it’s only gotten worse. Both my parents are somewhat depressed, older brother has a terrible drug addict and doesn’t want to change, etc. So it’s not a good home. It is comfortable, but I can’t stay here forever. But I also don’t want to fuck up when I move out the first time. I love my privacy and would love to do what I want, when I want, bring girls over (eventually) without needing to explain to anyone anything. Of course I do want to move out eventually and right now I have the option of moving out with my sister and her husband. I’d be getting my own room, bathroom, the necessities, all that. My sister and I have been pretty close our entire lives so we can call each other out on our bullshit whenever needed. They’re both in their early 20’s, really easy going, both work, etc. Only thing is they love to smoke weed and that’s not much of my thing. With this in mind:

•Is it a bad idea to move in with a married couple? Especially when it’s your sister?Anyone have any experiences similar to this? •Should I wait it out a couple of months, save some coin, and find other roommates?

Moving out isn’t necessarily at the top of my list, but i know I can’t live with my parents forever, and I want to get laid more, have my own place, all that. I’m afraid of fucking up, so I guess that’s why I’m posting this. Despite the fact that “experience is the best teacher”, I just want to know if any of you would see this as a red flag. I apologize if this poorly written or any of the posting rules were broken, I’m just looking for some guidance. Thanks.
