I heard a guy say this the other day that the caressing, the kissing, stroking and hugging is all to be downplayed by guys for the sake of being strong.

For the sake of not hamstering I'm going to have a go at answering this myself, because I love to touch women in those ways as I am a very kino kind of person (basically, horny).

I'm guessing it has to do with the intention behind it. If it is purely to satisfy MY desire to be with her physically then she will not feel that she has made me beta by drawing excess physical support (equivalent to any other support).

On the other hand it is 'affection' as it says in the title, and because it is not spoken there could be a hidden beta component to it... Knowing myself.
