A woman receiving poetry is like getting her flowers x100. She may like it, but it does not make her want to fuck you. It makes you look like a complete beta in her eyes and that is fundamentally not sexy. A guy who is writing poetry to his woman is putting her on a pedestal. There is no clearer sign of being a beta than that.

Write poetry for everyone, including her - or write poetry for no one in particular, but just write. That makes you a writer.

If you write for her, you just lost. Writing for someone explicitly makes you a beta since you're handing your power to them on some paper.

In general you should make art for yourself, and then if applicable share with others.

It all comes down to timing I think.

Poetry after the second date, probably a bad idea. Poetry after the third month might be ok. It also comes down to motivation. If you do it because you want to, fine. If you do it to try to win her over, bad. It needs to be outcome independent.

If you're good at writing, you're good at writing, you'r not just good at writing poetry. So when you write to them, from sms to FB messages to emails, write erotica to them, tell them what you are going to do to them, be explicit and use filthy language. Be short, do not overdue, and tell them part of the story ending with something like you'll live the rest tomorrow eve in my dungeon; part of good writing is suspense, and capturing the imagination of your audience; without giving away the whole story, feed their imagination and leave them wanting more, the real thing.

And then deliver!
