Every single one of the activities you suggested tends to involve weight training at some point to progress. It saves time and in general makes everything discussed here easier.

Im not discouraging lifting. Just saying it can give guys a false sense of confidence.

Nothing says "amused mastery" better than knowing I can kick everyone's ass wherever I am, after 2 decades of training in martial arts and boxing. Additionally it's fucking golden for instilling hardcore discipline and keeping you in more alert, fast, flexible and tougher shape than the gym alone.

Edit: Nothing wrong with the gym, I do that as well, a lot, but boxing/martial arts is amazing.

Its amazing everyone is always spouting.. Lift, do physical activities and your SMV will go through the roof.. Is your end goal only vagina. What about your future.. Yeah exercise your body but don't invest anything into your brain muscle.

I did the martial arts and lift thing but in all honesty a BMW emblem on the key chain gets those panties off faster then anything else.

Why would you want to ruin your lifting regiment with cardio?????? Let us all denounce this Agent of Broki here spreading his message of lies. /r/swoleacceptance

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

But how will Brodin accept you into Swolehalla without fighting? ;)

[–]esco_0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I lift mostly for aesthetics, which those sports wont do as well for me. The likelihood of me getting into a fight is slim.

Basically, those skills aren't that useful if you aren't going to use them

In this day and age you don't need to fight other people. You'll be fine by just knowing how to trow a good punch.

Being the big "gymbro" will intimidate most people to the point they wouldn't want to pick a fight with you anyway.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Being a big gymbro only intimidates those who dont know how to fight. By all means lift also, but its not the end all.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The people who do know how to fight tend to not pick fights without a good reason anyway.

[–]IamAwaken1 point 12 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Why should you not lift is the real question. You can be weak or be strong. Rather than looking for reasons to accept being weak you should instead embrace your desire for strength.

Everyone wants to be stronger, but it's easy to overestimate how stony you are. Humans are naturally large and strong animals. A conditioned man is several times stronger than an average man.

The benefits of strength are competence. It's like being able to speak Russian in Russia. Once you're strong it changes what you're capable of in your daily life and improves it. Even more than language because your body is your most essential item.

God you're a tool. That's the dumbest fucking reason I have ever heard to pick up self defense

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Learn how to fight to feel confident and better as a man? Ok buddy, what are your reasons, world peace?

[–]JosephStylin0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

How fucking often do you get in fights that you need to learn how to fight?

confident as a man

What kind of fucked up view of the world do you have that you think you need to be able to fight to feel confident in your gender? You are one of the reasons the human race is being held back. This whole subreddit is filled with idiots. If genocide was legal I would kill all of you first

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Most people can get through life avoiding fights/confrontations. Nothing wrong with that. But having fighting skills is useful to have as a man, and as a leader. It gets you respect if you are able to protect yourself and others if need be. It's all about being a strong figure others can depend on. If you can't at least understand a little of where I'm coming from, you're a woman or a pussified male.

If genocide was legal I would kill all of you first.

Aw, can't hear an different opinion without wanting genocide? Go cry on tumblr you cock juggling thundercunt.
