Hypothetical situation:

  • couple divorces
  • woman leverages her cultural perception advantage to paint the man as a "bad dad" and gets majority or full custody
  • woman's crazy life makes the kids uncomfortable... they look to Dad, but cannot get more time with him.

How does this play out? If the kids really want more time with their Dad but the custody ruling is not favorable, what happens?

If the man is denied all access, or given only minimal access, when does this end... when the kids turn 18? 21? i.e, when are the kids free to associate with Dad as much as they want?

Has anyone had this situation... where basically they have their kids taken completely away from them, but the kids really like their Dad and they find creative ways to maintain a connection?

Please educate me on this...
