Not spend it
Deposit into a high interest bank/savings account

Do you have any outstanding loans or credit card bills? If so, is the interest rate on said loans higher than 4%?

You are unlikely to do anything with that money that will have a higher ROR than 4%, so pay down your loans.

If you don't know what you are doing then the highest interest rated term deposit you can find. I would go with 3 year lengths but someone with better knowledge might suggest longer.
