How do you deal with 'close to wall' women looking to settle down?

I avoid them. I'll be pleasant and friendly, and they'll be like "oh we should hang out!" And I'll be like "Definitely!", and then I won't ever make plans.

They quickly pick up on what I'm actually saying.

Maybe you could try plating them? Ask them to come to your place for a movie or something beacuse you are a busy person. Dont let them drag you to something you dont want to do, just to be nice.

You are so lucky that you are RP aware at your age and can see what is going on. When this happened to me many many years ago I was baffled as to why I was suddenly getting so much attention. In fact I was so clueless that I allowed myself to be manipulated into marriage by a divorcee 4 years older than me.

Ah life....what a long difficult path it has been...
