There's no good term for it. But you might describe the action as pointing out logical inconsistency by applying previous assumptions to later arguments. I don't know how far you'll get with it, logical consistency obviously isn't a big issue to the people you're trying to convince.

Exactly, there is little to no hope of convincing the extremists, but I can hope to convince a moderate or three with this logic-twist.
