Firstly, I hate to admit it, but you fuckers are right. In High School I was what you would call a beta, and even though I picked up positive things such as a sense of style and self worth, my external image was hard to shake and left me out of the ego feedback loop many people were indoctrinated into. So, after graduating, I decided to tone myself up, fix my hair (the man bun is still a new thing around here) and go back into university orientation with a completely new outlook and social energy, and boy, did it work.

Because of the non committal and widespread approach I've taken towards establishing interpersonal relationships, I've formed a fairly large pool of demand and therefore am relatively spoilt for choice in terms of 'picking' a social group and I'm wondering how I can use this 'social butterfly' status to my advantage in both a platonic and non-platonic way. Has anyone been in this situation and would like to give me some advice? Maybe even point out some potential pitfalls? Anything would be good.

Oh, and another thing, I've already dabbled in asking someone out, a window shopper with a bit of an ego inflation. I went to a bonfire party and disappointingly got pulled back into the rants and ravings of a 27 year old (first time I've encountered 'the wall') I was never going to get anywhere with, but the day after this window shopper chick started talking to me saying things like "Saw you flirting with those other girls ;)" and shit, which I was, but whatever. After that, I asked if she wanted to do something the day after, she said she was busy, and after I implied my intentions ("I was actually suggesting we should do something together") and asked when she was free, she told me no, called me dude and said she'd see me in class. I've left that there, and I'm wondering if this is a shit test or not or if I should just drop her and move on down the list. My plan is to ask once more in person and pull this whole "Cough I'm asking you out and if you don't reschedule I won't ask againCough" spiel and see how she reacts. Bad idea? Worth a try? She's not the best looking on my list so I don't really give a fuck, she's just convenient.

So yeah, throw me some advice, I'm only running on intuition here so some opinion would be good.
