I've been with this guy for about a year now. Things started out great - tons of sex, went out all the time with friends/coworkers, etc. As time went on we got to see more of each other's routine. We recently moved in together and I can now observe his typical daily routine. Let me just say, I like my man to very much have his own life and not need me to be happy. I have noticed he is completely okay with working his 9-5 then coming home and sitting on the couch and drinking beer for the rest of the night in front of the tv - while I keep a very busy social schedule (book club, happy hours with friends, gym). It's difficult for me to get turned on by him because I don't find his lifestyle attractive. When I bring it up he gets very offended and surprised - because he is content with things the way they are. Usually our discussions end with him upset/crying because he feels like I'm personally attacking him. The crying makes me squirm, along with other things which makes me feel more like the man in the relationship.

From a male perspective, is there any way for me to motivate him to become more alpha?
