The description sounds like he is describing himself as a pet dog that has no options.

Could be true.

Also, people who devote their entire lives to religious studies can't agree on rather fundamental issues. Even history from 50-150 years ago is ridiculously distorted by people in the present day, for their own purposes.

You're in for a rough road to convince anyone of anything unless you're happy with a very small sphere of influence. (which is fine, and many people are.)

Christianity is incredibly pro-TRP. If you read through my previous comments you will find me getting into this debate a few times.

The easiest way is the Old Testament and other Judaic teachings. Christianity is Judaism part two, we must know and respect those roots.

I would say start with having them read Abolition of Man. To start the dialogue. It is not about TRP at all, and it is not even about relationship dynamics. What it is about is indoctrination, you must first understand how culture seeps in through everything and distorts us before you can pull apart.
