Don't use the generic dating sites. I have much better results on collarme.com and other BDSM - D/s - M/s sites.

I find myself very unattractive, regardless of what other people say, so take my thoughts with a grain of salt. Seriously, dudes compliment me, but no girls do... My friends wife once described me as a "3, maybe 4", while all kinds of guys say I'm "very attractive", and the old file lady at work said (while very drunk in Vegas), that I'm "fucking hot". The hot girl at work is waxing poetic, asking why I don't get laid (by girls at work) more often (don't shit where you eat).

I realize that I have very little chance, so I tend to only message girls that I think are "in my league". Zero. Well, maybe 1%. All the hambeasts think they are better than me.

Even worse than that with attractive people.

Then, I changed my profile to reflect my salary PLUS all the extra money I make on my side company. I also re-wrote my profile to not say fucking anything about myself, but makes generic, stupid jokes. Suddenly, 10%, even with moderately attractive girls... I grew a beard, which obscures my ugly ass face. Now, maybe 15%. I included a bunch of better pictures, including some of the rather expensive hobby I indulge in, and a few with friends doing awesome things. Maybe 20%.

I realized that I don't need to lie to get responses. At one point, I had 6 dates in the course of 2 weeks (4 dates in a single weekend). They were high quality girls, although not that attractive (maybe a 6 or 7 at best). I started getting messages from girls instead of just having to message them. Sure, they were gross, but it still feels good to be at least moderately attractive to chunky chicks.

*Edit: A piece of advice I got from my brother was rather simple, but boy does it work. Do not read their profile. Do not comment on their profile. Look only at their pictures, and comment on something in them. "Thats a weird looking duck". Or "That frog is giving me the creeps". Women spend their entire time working on what pictures to put on there, and not on writing a profile, so you want to comment on something that they give a shit about.

The short answer is to work harder on your profile. Don't talk about what you do, but leave a FUCKLOAD of mystery. Inflate your salary if you must. Include pics of you with friends. Figure out how to make yourself less ugly (if you are, standard TRP stuff, lose the weight, gain some muscle). You are selling yourself. Think about what they see in your profile. And learn to write better opening messages.

I'm getting roughly a 15% response rate. I only just joined two weeks ago though so it could just be random luck.

Since none of the replies seem to offer any advice ill respond. By the sound of it you have a lot going for you, but maybe your profile is coming off a little uptight for most women. Young attractive women are money hungry, but they aren't looking for a beta to provide for them. They are looking for a man that will give them a good time now. Make sure some of your photos are you out with a group of friends, also make your about me quirky and humorous. Not " I'm a millionaire, I graduated from a top three university, and I work hard"

eHarmony: Awesome. Most women engaged through the communication process and I had very few who did not respond. It was easy to move into a first date quickly and, because I tend to do well on a first date, get physical intimacy pretty quickly.

POF: Terrible. Couple responses, but it's like everyone wants a chat fest. Unappealing women contacted me, but they're unappealing...
