I’m glad you are deciding against the drugs. All you can really do is reach out to your local community and start asking questions and doing research. There isn’t much we can do here without getting too personal.

I was very lucky and had a great psychologist. He was an older bloke, and really helped sort out some of my problems including depression.

Basically, you just have to look around. And just FYI, a psychologist should be someone that helps you work through your problems, a psychiatrist is the one that prescribes drugs, if a psychologist if recommending drugs, tell them that if you wanted to go down that route, you would have seen a psychiatrist instead. I'd ask what the psychologist's name is before making an appointment, and out-right reject any that are women - if they give you shit, just claim you're a resent convert to Islam.

Another thing you can try is giving them a hard and fast end date. Personally, I had to move overseas in a few months time, so when I found my psychologist, I told him straight up what my problems were, and that I wanted to fix as much as possible before I moved. I had the concern that they would think of me as just another customer, and wouldn't actually fix my problems to the extent that I wouldn't need therapy any more.

It also helps if (once you've found someone who knows what they're doing) you take interest in what they are doing, follow recommendations, carry a notebook and jot down notes or "homework" to do between sessions. The idea is to show the psychologist that you really value their time, and instil a sense of pride in their work (fixing your son), so they'll enjoy it and put in the effort to do their job properly. Kind of like how many teachers hate their job when they're teaching stupid kids that don't want to learn, but will do a 180 when confronted by a committed, respectful student that is eager to learn.

Either way, I wish you good luck in your search. And don't go the drugs route.

Jungian (carl jung) influenced psychologists will be your best bet. They understand male arch types the best. Look for someone that does family and Jungian Psych. Stick with men. Then vet them. Hopefully you can find a few in your area and interview them.

Some of the best redpill knowledge I gained came from my tutor who served in Vietnam. Sometimes, there’s members in the community who have the redpill mindset aside from psychologists or therapists. All the best!

Perhaps you could look into finding him a therapist that implements neurofeedback in their practice.
