that's pretty awful. reads like the ama of a man who did no work on himself while his wife put in all the effort. if you read through it, he repeatedly emphasizes that he has no idea, that's he's just an average person, and that "he's luckier".

If he's not a drug addict, problem gambler or alcoholic, physical abuser or serial cheater than he's good relationship material.

... yeah.

My reaction to the problems was to check out and shut down and go along with everything. From my perspective it was just a matter of hoping things would somehow get better. But I think her change lit a spark in me to make a change happen too.
