Suffice to say I left my phone at home, got dressed up and walked out the door for a few hours. After she said our sex life was over, she faked every orgasm she ever had blah blah. I'm laying up in bed right now. She's stomping around acting indignant. And I'm trying hard not to laugh.

Update: First let me describe how we had it out about this. She's polishing off a bottle of wine. There's a glass left. I pour myself the rest of it (because I'm capable of having one drink and being happy with that). She gets pissed and takes the glass and pours it into hers. This is where I get annoyed and sets off the "Coming to Jesus" event. The details aren't a huge deal, mostly me being honest about what is happening her getting pissed and verbally abusive. Me batting away any attempts on her part to turn it around on me, and me just trying to be a stoic motherfucker. Which of course set the hamster off into orbit to which point she starts to weaponize sex. I have pretty much ceased conversation and just let her run her mouth at this point.

I haven't been playing very much dread lately so I decide it's time to get it going again.

She goes out for a smoke. I comb my hair, put on a nice shirt and pants she comes in to see me grab my keys and leave without a word. I leave my phone at home so she can't track me (we have iPhones) or bother me and I can have some peace and quiet. And to let her hamster spin the wheel.

I finally get home, climb in to bed without a word. She gets up to go sleep on the couch. This morning I leave for work, again without a word.

I get a text a few minutes ago: I've done a lot of thinking and you're right my drinking is out of control so I'm done.

My only reply: Thanks for acknowledging that.

I've heard this too many times already. Her swearing to dry out, me being disappointed. I'm done hoping for the best or trying to help. This is all on her now. IDGAF.

I'm in her corner of course, but she has to learn to fight for herself.
