I'm on my phone so my apologies for errors.

I have been working on the MRP for a few weeks and am totally a newb and have a lot to learn still but I have changed my attitude where I will speak my mind even if it isn't PC if I have a strong opinion.

Background: My family is very close to each other and are very open with each other but everyone usually avoids conflict with grandma because even though she is a huge sweetheart when she is mad she is a 5 foot nothing badass firecracker. (When I was 13 I was being lippy with her and she told me to do something and I told her no and she couldn't make me (I was 5'10 and she was 5') She bull rushed me and took me to the ground to prove her point).

Story: I called my Gma on Christmas eve to check when the festivities started on Christmas day and as we were talking we got off topic and she didn't agree with something I did so as I was explaining my reasoning behind it she got angry and said "I don't care what you say, what you did was wrong." and she hung up on me. I called her back because I wanted to finish and explain my point but she didn't answer. So the next day at Christmas we were sitting around talking to each other and when there was a lull in the conversation I called her out in front of everybody saying that when she hangs up on people it's childish, immature and disrespectful. Everybody got real quiet to see what she'd do to put me in my place. When she finally spoke she said "You're right and I shouldn't have hung up on you. I respect you for coming forward and saying something to me." Everyone looked around in disbelief a second and started laughing because no one has stood up to her like that in a long time.

So even your elder ladies week respect you if you call them out on their behavior if they are being bratty :-)

TL;DR Gma hung up on me on purpose in Christmas eve and at Christmas get together I called her out in front of family and she acknowledged her mistake and apologized.
