I had the exact same problem growing up. Eventually I just ignored them and did what I wanted. If they told me to be home for 8 and all my friends were staying out until 9 I'd just stay out until 9. Within a few months they got the message and left me alone.

If you're under their roof, you have no option other than STFU, consider your options, and prepare an ASAP exit plan. You're obviously smarter than them, so prove it.

If you're not under their roof, WTF are your parents still doing influencing your life? Knock that shit off.

Obey your parents. If you're not clever enough to subvert them or engage in clandestine fun ops, then STFU and obey them until you turn 18 and move out.

Their house, their rules. If they want to set a curfew, deal with it. Sure it's an ass-pain but so is paying 800 in rent every month for your own place.

You: "you're going to have to trust me."

If they throw a fit, just walk out, leave and go to a coffee shop or something.

Avoid engaging because you’ll never win. I have ridiculously overprotective controlling parents as I’m an only child and we’d fight almost every day when I was in HS and lived with them. They would check my homework every day into junior year because they didn’t believe I’d do it, despite being a straight A student.

Got to college and guess what happened? I went completely wild. Don’t follow in my footsteps, remember they’re unreasonable and just work with it. You’ll be fine until you move out just avoid confrontation the best you can.

Get yourself a copy of WISNIFG. Used paperbacks are dirt cheap.

You might feel like an adult but in their eyes you are not. Answering back won't convince them otherwise.

Do basic shit without being told, as if you were living there alone. Taking the trash out, minor repairs etc.

You'll get on with them better once they accept that you are an adult but you have to get them to that point in an adult way.
