It sounds to me like you just chatted up some girl through daygame and she actually texted you (then rebuffed when you pitched a real date).

Women get validation through attention. She'll willingly keep chatting with you via text with absolutely no intention of actually meeting with you for a date. That's called being an orbiter.

Avoid anything that makes you look like you acknowledged that she has someone already.

The moment they mention the boyfriend you should move on. I had girls despite them being taken, but I didn't know that beforehand. When I saw a profile picture or a status somewhere with/about her boyfriend I never mentioned anything at all.

I just kept doing my thing as if I did not acknowledge the boyfriend. Don't play dumb, just behave as if they were single.

One example: Girl I didn't see for a long time visits my town, we meet at my place and go at it. I wasn't sure whether she still had a boyfriend. She kept messaging me weeks, even months after that. Her status had a date which was clearly way before our encounter. Later she has a profile pic with her boyfriend.

It's funny, because despite the picture I still talk to her to this day as if she is single.

Basically don't slut shame her and she will do some mental gymnastics to rationalize her cheating on her bf.

Don't ask "Who is that on your picture?". Avoid the topic completely. The less she thinks about her bf the easier it is for her to "forget him" in the moment.
