My goal in life is to build a business and have it grow so that in the future i'm able to sell it for a nice profit which would allow me to live a very comfortable life.Which university degree would be the best for this purpose?I'm an 18 and about to graduate HS.

I think you need a JOB first. What experience do you have? How much cash do you have? Degrees don't start businesses, people do.

I would say (but I might be wrong) that it's best to learn something technical relating to the sort of business you would be interested in. The general business, management part of running a company, I think it's what's easier to learn by yourself.

Hey! Entrepreneur here.

Start raising some money by flipping website domains (names) you require no skills at all then with that money develop a passion and start a business ex: you are great at boxing, you should start a personal brand where you give street fighting tips and tricks and make a course on how to fight (5 levels for example, begginer, gym dumb, street fighter, bone breaker etc...) the point is to take them from complete begginers to masters of the art... then get boxing items from aliexpress (a chinese goods supplier with cheap prices) ex: a pair of gloves, mouth protector, punch pads and short pants... Include them with the purchase of your course ex: course is 297$ the fighting kit is $65 you spent $25 on advertising to get 1 purchase + the platform you used to sell your course - transactional taxes that left you with at least $150 on profit

Not to mention you only record the course once...

Warning: this is not meant to be a long term business BUT you will raise enough money to start another business, That's how it works when you are broke. A captain who goes from island to island till he can cross the entire ocean.

Hope you put this in practice and make lots of cash.

Same. Tech or business. Don't do a professional course like lawyer, doctor and aim to go to the largest school with the most established network, business school, and support for entrepreneurship. Congratulations on being clear so early in life.

I agree with the other commentators, I would go for IT/ Computer Science area to build a fundamental technical understanding. After completing your degree you can work for a few start ups for some years to build experience and familiarization with the industry.

IT entrepreneurship tends to have community like organizations where you can meet like minded individuals and if you have the balls, go for your own thing.

Alternatively you can pursuit a corporate career in IT. and make also a decent living, that’s what I personally did and I am doing really fine. Have to work off course until pension 9-5

Either way IT won’t fail you.
