I can't tell you how many times I've lost momentum with some girl because someone wanted to go out for a smoke and bring people with them, but I had a personal Zero Tolerance for tobacco. In night life, most of the top people smoke or do it just because other's are doing it. You're immediately get removed from the frame and some other guy escalates and ruins your chances or steals it. Hanging out with them outside not smoking while they do doesn't work either. You're not one of them. It's a social activity, a medium to pass the time like food or alcohol.

One cigarette won't kill you and you'll see your opportunities greatly increase. It will keep you in the game, more play time on the field instead of the sideline. Will even give you some of the 'bad boy factor' for some. You don't even have to smoke the whole thing or take big hits. It burns itself. If you're really opposed to it, mostly suck on it like a cigar and blow out. Again, the goal here is to stay in the frame. One more relocation to make the girl feel like she knows you. Isolation. A prop that makes standing next to each other doing nothing possible to enjoy.
