Seeing the data in the racial preferences in attractiveness that I’m sure you have all seen, I was wondering if the difference is mainly caused by the social cultural stigma and portrayal of specific races, or is a due to specific physical trait differences between races. I understand that different races have prevalences in different facial structures and some races for example might have statistically lower rates in good looking lower thirds.

For example if we had individuals that had identical facial structures but only differed in skin tone, would there be still a gradient in attractiveness across the skin tones?
