So long story short, I work at a restaurant where you might see famous/known people in their field (atheletes, actors, known businessmen). Today a couple known athletes were having lunch there, one of them approached our hostess and was trying to get her number and telling her he could pick her up after work and give her a lot of things.

What I find weird is that she was actually declining all of this (she has a boyfriend, but he’s not even close to this man in terms of being attractive or having “power”).

If all women are hypergamous, why was she declining all of this man’s offers?
