I work in retail so I think I have a pretty good sample size when it comes to indecisive men. And yes they 100% want you to tell/reccommend something to them.

Take this example for some context: when you go to the doctor and tell him something is wrong, does he give you an option? No, he just reccomends a solution. Now imagine if that same doctor came out with three different pills and then started going over the pros and cons of each one. You'd become overwhelmed with this newfound responsibility of selecting your own solution, and possibly pick none of them. Study here https://blog.kissmetrics.com/too-many-choices/

To put it simply some people love having options, and some people like things decided for them. in different contexts people can be both, but i think an alpha limits the latter to be as infrequent as possible. Sounds like when it comes to your friend and food, you need to call the shots.

The majority of people like to be told indirectly what to do. Thinking consumes energy, and most people are lazy.

The hamstering of betas annoys me. They will complain about how fat and overweight they are. So I will suggest go for a walk every morning for one hour. It is amazing how many excuses they can come up with.
