simple as that. the general anecdotal consensus i come up with that its okay for a girl to ask, or at worst, a little inappropriate, but if said party does have significant assets, that it is a logical question and inevitable. basically the guy shouldn't get offended, even worse if he storms off with an attitude, shows weakness, sensitivity, etc.
