So I (28) went out with this girl (29). This was our first date and when she was leaving she said "although it might be an overshare but my ex-boyfriend hit me (hit her once or more than once, I didn't understand it properly) and I still didn't/couldn't leave him for the next 2 years". She just said that out of the blue. I don't understand why she would share that with me. Specially on a first date. It caught me off guard. What does it mean? Is it like a huge red flag? Should I stay away from her because of the emotional baggage?
