Howdy Folks,

Interested to hear you opinion on this as i may be being a bitch here.

I got offered a job which is 20k euros more per year than my current role but the disadvantage is that it is an extra 30 minutes commute and 2.5 hours more per week.

Age 27

Lifting 10 years

MMA

In an LTR

Etc

Current role:

40k Euros ( up to 50k w bonus, on-call and shift ( Saturday/Sunday WFH every 2nd weekend)

Office is 10 min drive

Job is easy

Potential new role:

60k Euros ( Up to 10-15% Bonus paid quarterly )

Weekends off, no shifts

Office is 40 minute commute door-door, public transport ( train )

May be more stressful but better prospects long-term

2.5 hours more per week ( 40 hours in total, 8am-5pm)

What is putting me off is i like my current role and co-workers, short commute and get more time to pursue my hobbies, however i do have a young child to consider and i want to buy two properties within the next 5 years ( currently renting ) to kickstart my goal towards passive income and safety.

Is my hamster spinning like a bitch trying to talk myself out of this opportunity, i plan on asking my company for a raise and i am inline for a promotion next month but that would still only bump me up to 45k max id say. Interested on your thoughts on this.

Regards,
