modern marriage has been perverted into a 3 way legal contract with the state, and is not about marriage at all, its about divorce (which is what the state really wants)

you can absolutely have a satisfying LTR with rp, rp makes it easier

for example: i'm 2 weeks away from 5 years with mine, and never one argument with her, let alone a fight. i never argue or fight with her because that is not the purpose of a woman and fundamentally there is nothing to argue about

So I was in a similar mindset after my last breakup. She was brainwashed by tumblr and had a lot of issues. I saw too many patterns with westernized women and swore them off. Then I met a woman from Latin America and we hit it off really well and now is my wife.

The key thing here is that while she does have a handful of reserves and quirks about work, she understands the dichotomy of splitting the work. She is a stay at home mom because any job she gets will only just barely cover child care, so no point financially. While I wake up and go to work and ensure all the bills are paid, she manages the house and other domestic duties, not because of some man/woman’s work ideology, but because she understands “putting in her fair share.”

We’ve discussed that if she ever were to have more earning potential than I, that I would handle the domestic duties, and I did for a brief period (it’s awesome BTW)

So what you need to figure out first and foremost, is what do YOU want out of a relationship. Because both have benefits and draw backs. If you both work, you both will need to do house work, but your disposable income will be much greater. If you want her to stay home all day and take care of domestic work, then be upfront about it and be ready to do all the income generation and money management.

You will find many western women don’t want to admit to wanting that life style as it has gained a negative stigma over the years, but you can find women that just want to be a SAHM/W, whether it’s a woman from a LatAm, an Asian/Indonesian area or the rare westernized woman.

The core of it is understanding what do you want and then finding a partner that fits into that life style. And regardless of the situation, a marriage is work from both directions, so you are going to want someone that puts in as much effort as you do in the relationship. And always keep in mind that just because you get married doesn’t magically change how she thinks and reacts to you. So her behavior and reactions will be the same after the “I do’s”.

Marriage is a long term situation, so the big questions need to be addressed BEFORE marriage:

Kids, yes or no. Who will care for them?

Religion, no or yes; what kind.

Sex: monotonous or poly

Where to live: are you or her set on a location, are you or her willing to move?

Who will be the main earner, especially important if both of you want a career?

How or who will manage the money? We have 3 main accounts. Her and my private account, then a joint account.

What are each other’s “no-go’s”, as in what will immediately terminate the relationship? We both agreed on “no sleeping with other people”, and she said “no excessive drinking” while I said “no smoking”

My wife and I were together for 3 months and the were engaged for 6 before marrying. We understood each other and had all these major conversations. All the little things, quirks, and details can be discovered and worked through. It’s the established foundation that makes or breaks the relationship in the future.

The biggest reason why the community objects to Marriage is because in most Western Societies, things like alimony and other mandatory financial ~~thievery~~ support is enforced by the government.

So the second you put a ring on the finger, she can take half of your lifetime even if she contributed absolute 0 to it.

You can with allot of effort.

I know a old man who is married for 30+ years (doesn’t know a thing about trp) I asked him how he does it and he told me “you have to be creative and always keep her out on her toes and guessing, worst thing you can do is allow her to get bored “.

So you can do LTR with ALLOT and I mean ALLOT of work so the question is, is the juice worth the squeeze.

Depends where you look, there are unicorns out there but few and far between. Much more common to see a dumbass who ran through some serious red lights and married a whore, the guy who got complacent and is in a sexless marriage, or the old couple that is codependent and resentful. Head over to a better subreddit if you have marriage questions, you’re won’t often find a warm reception here.
