Because it's a lot easier to give someone your number and then never reply than to deny them to their face. Or maybe she really liked you and is trying to play it cool by taking a minute to respond. Or maybe her phone broke. Or maybe she's at work and can't text. Or maybe she's on a date with another guy. Or maybe she's visiting her grandma in the hospital. There's a million reasons why she might not have responded. The point is that she didn't. On to the next one.
