The cringe is unfortunately not just in your head my guy. Now it's in mine too and I'm gonna have to take a shower. There is nothing for you to adress with them at work about it. Act like it never happened. But my question to you is why did you feel the need to say some dumb shit like that when nobody was even flirting with you? Seriously, two other people were flirting. What's that got to do with you? If dude wants to risk his job for some pussy, let him do so. His problem, not yours.

The thing with women is that things are never but platonic. You're always going to be measured in some sexual way. It's not their fault, they're just built that way. Whereas u can walk into a room and treat everyone with great respect and not think of any sort of sexual thoughts or sexual hierarchy, women cannot do it. They subconsciously will constantly be sizing men and women around them on the sexual market. They'll slip a flirt in there every bow and then, they'll try to do somwthing sexual in front of you to get a response etc etc. Do yoir best to keep shit platonic. Avoid talking with them if u can, unless it's work related. If one is trying to flirt with you, you need to make it very seriously clear that not only are you not interested but you also don't engage in nonsense at work. Make it very clear with a very serious tone. Don't pussy foot around the issue, don't do it in a joking way. You're a professional and a man of purpose. Establish a very clear line of what's acceptable from them as coworkers.

I worked in healthcare as well. Would not recommend to anyone. Hated it. The amount of concentrated estrogen was just too much.

Do it as little as possible at work. The more boring and undramatic they find you the better.
