Is there a follow up article where the author reveals his answers to the test?

  1. A species is more likely to survive changes in environment if there is lots of genetic variation within that species. Each member of a species will have some mutations to its genome. If this organism reproduces asexually then these mutations are passed on to the next generation, plus whatever additional mutations may occur. If it reproduces sexually, then mutations can be mixed and matched resulting in lots of variation. These variations help ensure that at least some members of a species will be able to survive new environmental pressures.

  2. Anisogamy. There are differences between male and female gametes (large eggs that provide the nutrients required for a zygote to develop, and small sperm that are constantly being created). There is no reason for two different types of sperm to fuse because they have no nutrient rich environment. There no benefit to having two types of eggs fuse because it's inefficient. So granted that a sperm needs an egg to reproduce, the most efficient way to do this is by having only one type of sperm, i.e. only two sexes - male and female.

  3. Because 50/50 is a state of equilibrium. Say male births are less common than female births. Males then have better mating prospects than females. So parents predisposed to have more males will have more than average numbers of grandchildren. So the population of parents predisposed to have more males will rise, until male births are more common, and then the same thing happens in reverse. So we end up with ~50/50 equilibrium.

  4. I'm not sure exactly how sex is defined nowadays, but for mammals I would say an individual's sex chromosomes are the most fundamental difference (XX or XY).

  5. At about 9 weeks sex differences start appearing, mostly regulated by dihydrotestosterone.

  6. I know that the two hemispheres in a female brain are more interconnected than in male brains, and that female brains are slightly smaller than male brains on average. I'm not sure about specific areas that show marked difference.

  7. This one's kind of open-ended, and I'm sure you can figure it out on your own.

I asked for his answers. Not just answers. I can come up with pseudoscience myself.

pseudoscience

I challenge you to find a single instance where I said something that's incorrect, or something that qualifies as "pseudoscience." You were apparently too lazy to look for the answers yourself, so I provided them for you. Don't bite the hand that feeds you, or learn to feed yourself. You can wait for his answers if you want, but they're going to be more or less the same.

You and the guy with an MS in evolution disagree on the hormone that differentiates male and female fetuses.
