This is really his fault for writing over all his assets to his wife in order to dodge taxes. Funny, but if he were in America, he could have recovered some of his money by divorce raping his wife, lol. However, it sounds like he owed so much money his creditors might have been able to have taken everything anyway. So the actually outcome is better than if he had been in the US because at least the wife got to keep something instead of both of them losing everything to creditors.
