This is the thing. When you have a wife that you married when she was young and hot, you don't see the old woman when she gets old. You see here how you remember her. She seems forever young. Some call this "wife goggles".
When you see other women, say when you run into someone you knew in high school your brain goes, "wow did you ever get old and fat and ugly" and your mouth goes, "wow it is so nice to see you". Cougars are older women that you see as they are and sometimes that isn't a pretty picture. It is just another example of women not realizing how fleeting their SM and LTR value is. A couple more years and even the best of cougars will not be able to get any young men, they will be searching the seniors homes in search of men who are 15 or twenty years older than they are.
On the bright side, they will somehow manage to hamster even this so I guess it all works out.
