After wasting some time reading the comments, other people who were there noted what really happened. Basically, one woman who was a chaperone told the subject to leave, under the guise of "unnamed men are complaining you dressed immodestly".

The complaint, however, is lodged against the patriarchy. Gawker latched on to this as "Pervy dads staring at girls at prom, make girl leave because she looks too hot".

No TRP here, just a blue-pill example, although I sure wouldn't want to be a chaperone at a prom after reading this.

How is this an attention seeking girl?

There were uptight parents who were jealous/ got caught oogling underaged girls by their wives.

They should have simply refunded the money and then kicked them out, but instead those in charge chose to lie and now angry kids will do what they can when they feel they were crossed. Which they were.

If a guy complained about getting thrown out of a prom for being dressed too thuggish, yeah, I'd mock him too.

The difference is, he wouldn't be on the front page of Gawker and Jezebel, and also wouldn't have anonymous strangers around the world offering to donate him enough money to give him a free ride to college.

While I have no idea if that was the goal of the individual who posted that. The point about whether or not she is overstepping her bound with entitlement or such remains. The individual followed the rules, when those in charge were unhappy that their rules did not prevent something they elected to eject individual and those accompanying by association.

It's not even a school prom. It's a 'homeschool prom', which is an independent event that, in theory, anyone can apply to go to. It sounds like she would have been happier going to a 'feminist prom'.
