I don't think there is ANY social research that comes close to explaining this. The answer is obvious to TRP.

Women want MEN: Solid, righteous, rugged, goal oriented, hard working, self-sacrificing, strong MEN. Our society produces little boys taught to put them on a pedestal and to worship at the sacred feminine.

Women want to be told calm the fuck down when they get bitchy, nasty, or emotionally out of control. Our society produces emotional men who cannot withstand her emotional storms.

Women are not haaaaapppy being put in charge but now they are in charge. Enjoy the decline.
