Be certain your sons study one of the sciences or engineering. If they don't want to go to college, a young man can make a great living in one of the trades if he goes on to start his own business. Encourage him to be an entrepreneur in his chosen field.

A lot of the bailout money went down the drain to prop up female dominated job fields that gained jobs during the recession. Had Obama passed the shit test and made more infrastructure and whatnot it would have been a bit better.

Very good point about infrastructure spending. If you are going to incur debt or print money to counter a downturn, that's what needs to be done for, among other reasons, to ensure people build their skill sets and work track record. Instead, people were paid to sit on the sofa at home and watch Jerry Springer.

Also thrown towards women in government jobs (essentially robbing from productive citizens to pay others to process the robbbing).

Agree that government jobs really don't contribute much to overall economic activity. Most are ministerial or regulatory (unnecessary) in nature, not productive.

The ones that don't deal with infrastructure of course

Those jobs aren't coming back.

Yup, a lot of our job loss is due to technological innovation and increases in efficiency. A lot more is coming. For example, soon truck drivers will be replaced by robots.

We need to figure out a solution to get people to work less for more money if we want to keep everyone employed. Or give everyone a basic income allowance. Or something of that nature. Otherwise there will soon be calls for revolution and uprising.

Fun Fact: Girlfriend called me today and said her boss (also female)called her and they had a lengthy phone call (on company time) about their careers and how the stress had her crying at night after work.

I can't imagine any man doing this in a high stress work situation. Keep in mind, these are high paying jobs in fields that are typically male dominated...which I'm starting to see is for a reason.
