This is how the world works. I have long since learned to take care of my own mental health. Complaining makes you look beta, hence Gart is looked down upon by everyone. If you don't want to be Gart, you will have to fix things yourself rather than escape to a fantasy world.

Men must understand that in this world, people will not support you. There will not be a shoulder to cry on. All you can do is to swallow the bitterness and move forward. Or else, you will end up like Gart.

Understanding that short of a few male friends and your family you're absolutely, utterly alone in struggling with life. If you fail, no one will care, no one will come to help you. Quite the opposite. A weak man is met with disdain and repulsion. Unfair? Yeah, that's how it is. Don't let yourself fall into that state.

This is not the case for women. They have massive support groups, both from their better ability to network and socialize and government/societal support groups. In society's view, a weak woman is a cause, someone who needs help and saving. They will never understand how easy it is to get trampled by life if you're not at the top of your game as a man. Don't ever expect them to sympathize with you.

Be stoic, be unrelenting, be capable. If you're at a weak point, confide in your boys, but know that if you fail you're worth nothing to anyone.

great read. some really interesting points made by the author, and presented in such a way that even those only exposed to some RP knowledge should be able to get a firm grasp without being scared off by extremist views.
