what i really didnt like about the austin movie - pretending sex to be a payment on some kind of measurable scale ("supply goes up, price goes down") - here gets totally ridiculous.

sex has not become cheaper - we just pay in a different currency. whereas before it was the currency of beta provision, it now is the currency of lust fulfillment.

if you are a boring beta without any game, sex has certainly not become cheaper for you.

I am seeing more and more of these "women need to ban together and raise the cost of sex" ideas on the Internet. The Feminist 2.0 video on youtube talks about the same thing.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZR9FHKKbMZo

In order for this system to work women have to ban together and present men with a united front. No ring, no thing. But here is the problem with this system . . .

In the past, women married right out of high school. So they could keep their pants on. But today, women want to put their career first. If they are a career women it will take years into their late 20s early 30s. Once their careers is in place, then women look into marriage. This is true of many women. Not all women.

But to ask a huge portion of women to keep the legs shut into their 30s is just not possible. Eventually the virgin wall will fall. Once they start having sex, the sex cartel will break down. Those who have sex get the men. Those who don't put out, stays at home on a Saturday night with their cats.

Then if they want to get married, they will be under pressure to put out.

If AIDS and Herpes does not slow down people's sex drives, what will.

Speaking broadly, like the video, the issue these sorts of videos keep falling down on is that nearly 100% of the women are interested in having a committed relationship with about 20% of the men. They may settle for less, eventually, if they must, but the gals are shooting for the guys in the perceived upper echelons of desirability. The competition women feel to have sex without commitment comes because the 20% know they string along a gal, or gals in some cases. (Soft harem, anyone?)

This is to say nothing of the fact that 1% of the upper most apex men can have the committed women as and when they want, which is becoming increasingly understood by even the 20% that would otherwise commit to a gal.

That article is complete and utter bullshit, and flies completely in the face of what we already know about female hypergamy.

“On average, men have a higher sex drive than women. Blame it on testosterone, call it whatever you want — but on average, men initiate sex more than women, they’re more sexually permissive than women, and they connect sex to romance less often than women.

This is completely and categorically false. It is in fact romantically-driven (and usually beta) MEN that connect sex to romance MORE often than women. And women are AT LEAST as sexually permissive as men, if not, in fact, more so. Women are the gatekeepers to sex, not men. Present a woman with a proper alpha, and 70% of the time, she's bedding down 100% of the time.

“Nobody’s saying this is the way it ought to be. It’s just the way it is.”

No it's not. This piece must have been authored by a woman.

“Women, on the other hand, are likely to have sex for reasons beyond just simple pleasure. Her motivations for sex often include expressing and receiving love, strengthening commitment, affirming desirability, and relationship security.”

Oh, they're looking for security, all right, the security of popping out a fuck trophy and collecting half of babydaddy's money for the next 18 years. Want proof? Go check any dating site, pick any one, and I promise it will be FLOODED with single mothers who obviously didn't give much of a shit about "strengthening commitment."

I will grant her the point about "affirming desirability." We damn well know women looooove being validated constantly.

So women admit there is a price to sex!

If girls did actually come to realize that they’re “in the driver’s seat” when it comes to sex (and if sisterhood really were powerful), they could change the market entirely, having sex only when they were ready and only when they saw a serious commitment on the part of their partner.

Or make most men leave the market entirelly and settle for the free hassle free alternative of masturbating. Because who wants crazy if it's expensive.

Call it the OPEC of sex. If this collusion worked, we’d see “on average more impressive wooing efforts, greater male investment, longer relationships, fewer premarital partners, shorter cohabitations and more marrying going on.”

Cause establishing a cartel is the sign of a healthy offer that deserves a high price.

This whole article is so juicy, you can feel how sexually frustrated the chick is that no males (sexually desirable males over 7) put up with her shit.

This article and the video it discusses completely miss the importance of female hypergamy on the emerging sex market.

The problem is feminism gives a broad sweeping you-go-girl to any female behavior because "women should be able to do whatever they want without feeling bad/being shamed about it". The real pill women have swallowed is the notion that doing whatever they want in the moment is morally correct and any consequences that follow their behavior are not actually their fault but somehow the responsibility of the great chauvinist conspiracy.

It's not that more men are in the "sex camp" vs more women in the "marriage camp" the reality is modern urban women basically see men as disposable toys in a wet and wild amusement park ride, until it's time to settle down and then surprise surprise they lack the social (not to mention life) skills to actually impress a good man enough to secure commitment from him.

Partly I think projection plays a role, because women seek men with high professional status for marriage they assume men are looking for the same characteristics. They expect that once they hit peak ripeness a super successful man will come along that appreciates how super successful they are, and in a fit of rabid romanticism will jam a ring on her finger and validate her till death do them part, worn out vagina and all.
