I think we can all see what a load of shit this study is.

In this study "Dads" are measured in terms of how good they are at being mothers - how often they change nappies and other such bullshit and how much the nurturing part of their brain switched on thinking about their child. It shouldn't surprise anyone that the less masculine (ie the less testosterone) a man has the more he acts like a women/mother.

Obviously none of this has anything to do with how good a father someone is. If a father is measured in how good he is as a mother all children should be raised with 2 mothers. We know this because a mother would absolutely win hands down at all of these tests.

Of course what we know from research is that having a father is the NUMBER 1 factor of whether a child goes to prison, has a teen pregnant, fails at school at virtually every other possible measure of successful upbringing. What I'm saying is that clearly none of these things measured have anything to do with what makes fathers important and therefore this research shows us absolutely nothing.

Its a crock of shit.

Maybe a study judging fathers by factors related to fatherhood might be more useful.

Makes sense from biological point of view. Humans are one of very small set of species where there are not one, but two conflicting offspring caring tactics. One tactic is where one of the parents gives most effort into rising offspring (examples are bears, gorillas, many other species where one sex is much bigger/different than other). The other tactic is where individuals form a lasting relationship and cooperate while rising offspring (examples are many species of birds, generally all species where it's hard to tell male from female). The second tactic is advantageous in most situations because a couple can afford to have more children than a single mother (or father in some cases of species) would.

I don't believe in this. Who said smaller testes have lower testo production? Who said that I can't increase testo production with a different lifestyle?

Ergo, being home and caring for children means lower testo.

I can't help it. this is discrimination.
